What Is PhotoBlock and How Does It Work
PhotoBlocker Spray is a clear hi-gloss permanent reflective finish. When applied to license plates, PhotoBlocker Spray creates a glossy finish. The glossy surface acts as a mirror to reflect a photo radar flash back to the camera overexposing the image. The unreadable license plate fools red light and speed cameras resulting in the issuance of NO traffic summons. The effect is similar to taking a flash photograph of oneself standing in front of a mirror. The resulting picture will be overexposed and unreadable.
PhotoBlocker has been vigorously tested by several police departments, investigative news crews and over fifty seven newspapers and magazines from around the world. On November 7, 2002 Captain John Lamb of the Denver Police department participated in a Fox television test of the PhotoBlocker Spray. The test replicated a car driving 30 mph through a 20 mph zone. The spray successfully obscured the license plate numbers recording the plate as a glowing white blur. The results were so compelling Fox 5 Washington D.C. called the spray “Surprisingly effective”. Captain Lamb said in a matter of fact voice, “A test of the spray proved effective at producing a glare over the license plate.”
Police departments in Australia, the Netherlands and Swedish TV have also conducted similar tests with comparable results. “You have every chance of avoiding a traffic ticket,” concluded Australian TV. Testimonials by most major U.S., European and Australian news corporations including independent testing by Fox News, Denver Police Department, Dutch Newspapers, Swedish TV and many more. On July 3, 2003 The Washington Times featured PhotoBlocker? on the front page with the heading “License-Plate Spray Foils Traffic Cameras.”
How to Use It?
Step 01 – Remove your license plate from your vehicle. Clean and dry the surface. Lay it on a dry surface.
Step 02 – Before spraying, be sure to lay something out to protect the surrounding area. Apply PhotoBlocker in flat even strokes until license plate is saturated. Allow your license plate to dry until tacky, then repeat 3 -4 times until there is a nice glossy shine to your license plate.
Step 03 – Once your license plate is dry to the touch, place it back on your vehicle and you are done.
Step 04 – You are now protected. Every time you go past one of those money making traffic cameras, you have an excellent chance of avoiding a ticket.
What is the difference between PhotoBlocker, PhotoShield and Reflector Cover?
PhotoBlocker Spray – A can of aerosol that is sprayed on to your license plate. Our special formula high gloss formula, with clear finish, is designed to protect you from unjust tickets issued by cameras that use flash. It causes no distortion and is undetectable to the naked eye from any distance. The majority use flash at some point when taking pictures. It’s great for areas where you can not use license plate covers. Every time it works it will save you hundreds of dollars in fines.
NOTE: For maximum protection use the PhotoBlocker? Spray in conjunction with PhotoShield? Cover. The Spray will protect you from the cameras that use flash and the PhotoShield cover will do so from the cameras that do not use flash.
PhotoShield Cover – A clear special formula license plate cover, incorporating a thin strip of lens on the inside. It looks just like a regular cover that you find in an automotive accessory shop. However, when a photo-radar camera mounted on the side of the road takes a picture of your tag WITH OR WITHOUT flash, 2 or 3 characters will be blurred due to the refraction caused by the lens. The resulting image is illegible. If one character is unreadable the ticket is technically unusable and discarded.
Reflector Cover – Works on the same principle as PhotoBlocker spray except it is in the form of a cover. It is made of a clear plastic cover coated with light reflecting crystals. These light reflecting crystals do not cause distortion. Your license plate will be legible form any angle. The crystals act as miniature mirrors helping to reflect a photo-radar camera’s flash. The resulting image is over exposed and rendered unreadable. Great for customers who do not want to spray their plates.
